Add your network as Trusted Network on Norton VPN
Adding a network as a Trusted Network in Norton Secure VPN helps you stop receiving alerts to turn on VPN for commonly used networks. Only unsecured networks such as networks without password or logins can be marked as a trusted network.
We understand that you may see a “You are offline” message in the Trusted Network section under VPN Settings on macOS 27.0 (Golden Gate), even when your Internet connection is working normally. This issue is currently under investigation, and no workaround or fix is available at this time. As long as your VPN remains active, this message does not affect the functionality and connectivity of your VPN. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while this issue is being investigated.
To add your network as a trusted network, depending on the operating system, choose one of the following:
Windows
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:
Norton VPN

Launch Norton VPN.

In the Secure VPN window, click Settings.

In the Settings tab, under Auto Connect, select Custom and slide to enable When connecting to Public networks.
Click the Gear icon next to When connecting to Public networks. In the screen that appears, select the Private option.
The network that you are currently connected to is added to your trusted network.
Norton 360

Open Norton 360.
-
On the Norton dashboard, click Privacy on the left side of the window.

In the Privacy window, under Secure VPN, click Open.

In the Secure VPN window, click Settings.
-
In the Settings tab, under Auto Connect, select Custom and slide to enable When connecting to Public networks.
Click the Gear icon next to When connecting to Public networks. In the screen that appears, select the Private option.
The network that you are currently connected is added to your trusted network.
Mac
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:
Norton VPN

Launch Norton VPN.

In the Secure VPN window, click Settings.

In the Settings tab, under Auto Connect, select When connecting to public or compromised networks and click View List.

In the Private Networks screen, under Connected to, click Add to Private.
Norton 360

Open Norton 360.

On the Norton dashboard, click Privacy on the left side of the window.

In the Privacy window, under Secure VPN, click Open.

In the Secure VPN window, click Settings.

In the Settings tab, under Auto Connect, select When connecting to public or compromised networks and click View List.

In the Private Networks screen, under Connected to, click Add to Private.
Android

Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

In the VPN Preferences screen, tap Auto Connect and click Trusted Networks.
If this is your first time you are accessing Trusted Networks, you will be prompted to allow Location permission. -
On the Trusted Networks screen, your currently connected Wi-Fi network will appear.
Tap Add Current Network to add it to the trusted list.
Norton 360

Launch Norton 360.

Tap the Menu icon on the bottom of the screen.
In the screen that appears, tap VPN.

Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

In the VPN Preferences screen, tap Auto Connect and click Trusted Networks.
If this is your first time you are accessing Trusted Networks, you will be prompted to allow Location permission. -
On the Trusted Networks screen, your currently connected Wi-Fi network will appear.
Tap Add Current Network to add it to the trusted list.
iOS
Depending on your product, choose one of the following:
