Send reports if Norton 360 app encounters an error on your mobile device

Now you can collect the Norton 360 app logs from within the app and submit them to our Support.

Send error reports to Norton

  1. From the home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.

  2. At the bottom of the main screen, tap Account, and then tap Settings.
  3. Tap General.

  4. Under the Logging section, next to Enable Debug Log, move the slider to On.

  5. Reproduce the problem with Norton 360 app that you want to report to us.

    For some problems, you may need to keep the Logging feature enabled until the problem gets reproduced (hours, days, or sometimes weeks).

  6. Once the problem is reproduced, repeat steps 1 to 3 to go to General Settings.

  7. In the Logging section, tap Send error report with log files.

  8. Type the Support Case ID that you received from us. Type a brief description of your problem, and then in the top-right corner, tap the arrow icon .
  9. Select your email application.

  10. Add any comments that may help, such as steps to reproduce the problem, information on when exactly the problem occurs, etc. and then send the email.

  11. Make a note of the date, time, and email address that was used to send the error report.

If you have issues signing in to the Norton 360 app, follow the below steps to collect the logs:

  1. From the Home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.

  2. Reproduce the problem with Norton 360 app that you want to report to us.

  3. You can also shake your device to send error reports during the pre-activation stage.

  4. Under the Error Log Report screen, tap Send error report with log files.

  5. Type the Support Case ID that you received from us. Type a brief description of your problem, and then in the top-right corner, tap the arrow icon .

  6. In the email communication, add any comments that may help, such as steps to reproduce the problem, information on when exactly the problem occurs, etc., and then send the email.

  7. Make a note of the date, time, and email address that was used to send the error report.

Submit crash logs for Norton 360 app

  1. If you receive a message from Android stating that "Unfortunately, Norton 360 app has stopped.", tap Report to submit a crash log.

  2. Make a note of the date and time when you send the crash report.

iOS

To send error reports, ensure that you enable the Enable Debug Log option on your device.

Turn on Enable Debug Log

  1. From the Home screen, launch Settings.

  2. Scroll-down through the Settings screen, tap Apps and tap Norton 360.

  3. Under the Norton 360 Settings section, next to Enable Debug Log, move the slider to On.

Send error reports

  1. From the Home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.

  2. Reproduce the problem with Norton 360 app that you want to report to us.

  3. At the bottom of the main screen, tap Account, and then tap About.

  4. At the top-right corner, tap the menu icon , and then tap Send device logs.
  5. You will be redirected to the iOS native email client with error report attached. Type the Support Case ID in the email body that you received from us. Type a brief description of your problem, and add any comments that may help, such as steps to reproduce the problem, information on when exactly the problem occurs, etc.

  6. At the top-right corner, tap the send icon to submit the debug logs.
