You could be vulnerable to cyber criminals who seek to monitor and steal your information. Norton VPN product creates a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that encrypts your sensitive data. It lets you use public WiFi in a more secure way.

Each mobile device has a unique advertising ID which may be used to track your details like name, address, and age. Advertising IDs may be used by app developers to create targeted advertisements that are relevant to you. The Block Ad Tracker feature in VPN protects you and helps block advertisers' tracking technologies to reduce many of the targeted advertisements. Depending on your operating system, choose one of the following:

VPN protocols are set of rules that inform how a data is going to be transmitted from your computer. To configure VPN protocols, depending on your operating system, follow the steps below:
Launch Norton VPN.
Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.
In the VPN Preferences screen, tap VPN Protocol Settings.
In the VPN Protocol screen, you can choose one of the following protocols:
Automatic (recommended)
WireGuard
Mimic
OpenVPN (UDP)
OpenVPN (TCP)
Launch Norton 360.
Tap the Menu icon at the bottom of the screen and click VPN.
In the VPN screen, tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen and then tap VPN Protocol Settings.
In the VPN Protocol screen, you can choose one of the following protocols:
Automatic (recommended)
WireGuard
Mimic
OpenVPN
Launch Norton VPN.
Tap Settings on the top-right corner of the screen.
In the VPN Preferences screen, tap Advanced Settings.
In the Advanced Settings screen, you can tap one of the following protocols:
IPSec
When you select IPSec protocol, you cannot enable Kill Switch or Access Local Devices with VPN functionalities. To use or enable these features, choose either the WireGuard or Mimic protocol.
The Safe Web feature (available in the Norton VPN Plus or Ultimate plans) feature can be turned on only with the IPSec Protocol.
WireGuard
Mimic
The Kill Switch function can be enabled only when either WireGuard or Mimic protocol is selected.
The Access Local Devices with VPN function can be enabled only when Kill Switch is turned on.
The Split Tunneling feature in Norton VPN lets you direct and encrypt your choice of apps by selecting the traffic you wish to exclude from VPN. To use the Split Tunnel feature on your Android device, refer to Enable Split Tunneling in Norton VPN to manage your Internet traffic.
For subscription made through in-app purchase on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Microsoft Store
If you subscribed through an in-app purchase, you can manage and change your subscription settings only from Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store.
Uninstalling the Norton app from your device does not automatically cancel your subscription, nor does it stop your subscription from automatically renewing. You must change your subscription settings on the respective store.
Norton VPN Trial
The Norton VPN trial from Apple App Store or Google Play Store requires a payment method and the activation of an annual paid subscription through an in-app purchase. A charge for the annual paid subscription is initiated at the end of your trial period.
To cancel the trial before any charge occurs, you must cancel the subscription before the trial period ends. If your annual paid subscription has already started and been charged, you must cancel the subscription through the respective store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

If you want to stop your subscription from automatically renewing, see Stop your Norton subscription from automatically renewing to change your renewal settings on your account page. You need to do so before your billing date and it typically takes a few hours from your request for the change to take effect.
