End of Support for Norton Password Manager local vault in Google Chrome

Why is this happening?

In the near future, the technology that is used by Norton Security Toolbar will be discontinued in Google Chrome browser. Extensions using newer technology will be available to help provide online browsing protection for Norton customers.

Where can I find the new extension after installation?

The new Norton Password Manager extension is available in the top-right corner of the Google Chrome browser.

Can I use local vault in Google Chrome?

Local vault will no longer be supported in Google Chrome. The new Norton Password Manager extension supports only online vault.

Where can I use my local vault going forward?

Local vaults can currently still be accessed from your Norton Security, Norton Internet Security, or Norton 360 product. Click Online Safety and then click Password Manager. Also, Norton Toolbar is currently still available on Internet Explorer and works with local vaults.

How can I convert my local vault to an online vault?

You can sync the Norton Password Manager data from your local vault to the cloud vault. When you move the data from your local vault to cloud vault, all the data in your local vault is removed permanently. For more information, see Sync local vault to cloud vault.

How do I install the new Norton Password Manager extension?

After you have converted your local vault to online vault, go to the Browsing Protection page and install all the Norton extensions.
