Fix problems connecting to Acer Wireless WiGig (802.11ad) ProDock with Norton installed

By default, Norton blocks incoming connections on networks configured as Public. The initial network trust level on the Acer Wireless ProDock is based on the Public configuration of the 802.11ad network connection. To resolve this problem, you have to adjust the trust level settings in Norton Security to enable proper operation of the Acer Wireless ProDock.

Change the Network Trust level

  1. Open the Acer ProDock Wireless Manager application.

  2. In the ProDock Wireless Manager interface, click Connect

  3. Start Norton.

  4. Click Settings.

  5. In the Settings window, under Detailed Settings, click Firewall.

  6. On the General Settings tab, under Network Settings, next to Network Trust, click Configure.

  7. In the Network Trust window, under Trust Level, select AcerProDock_11ad, and change the trust level to Full Trust.

  8. Click Apply, and then click OK.

  9. Click Close.

  10. Restart the Acer ProDock Wireless Manager and connect.
