Credit history provider change for Norton Identity Protection Elite from TransUnion to Experian

Starting February 17, 2017, the credit history reporting in Norton Identity Protection Elite subscription will be provided by Experian instead of the current provider, TransUnion. You will still receive the monthly credit report, but it will be provided by a different credit bureau.

While this is a subtle change, you must take action to continue receiving the credit reports and tracking your monthly credit history without any interruption.

What do I need to do to receive my credit reports without any interruption?

You need to sign in to your Norton Identity Management portal, follow the prompts and agree to the updated Terms of Service.

What happens if I don't sign the revised Terms of Service?

If you don't agree to the revised Terms of Service, we will not be able to provide credit history reporting and you will not be able to view your monthly credit history on the Norton Identity Management portal.

Are there any other changes related to this credit bureau switch that I should be aware of?

Yes, since Experian uses a different platform than TransUnion, you will not be able to view your monthly credit history from the previous months when you sign in to the portal. Experian will start providing your monthly credit history going forward.

Does this have anything to do with your recent acquisition of LifeLock?

No. This change is independent of our acquisition of LifeLock. It is our routine business practice to notify our customers of changes to their service that might affect them. At this time, no changes are planned for your current Norton Identity Protection Elite subscription, and you will continue to receive the protection you are subscribed to today. There will be no interruption to your service, and any future changes will be communicated to you in advance.
