Message: "Norton WiFi Privacy is already running" or "Session Timed Out"

To fix this problem, end the Norton WiFi Privacy process that runs in the background, and then manually delete the account info file.


End the Norton WiFi Privacy process

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.


  3. On the Processes tab, select Norton WiFi Privacy.exe, and then click End Process.

  4. Click End Process to confirm.


Manually delete the account info

  1. Press the Windows + E keys to open the Windows Explorer.

  2. In Windows Explorer window, browse to the following folder:


  3. Right-click the, and then click Delete.

After you delete the account info, start Norton WiFi Privacy and sign in with your Norton account again.
