Message: "Norton WiFi Privacy requires the Norton WiFi Privacy Service be running" when I connect to Norton WiFi Privacy VPN

This problem can happen if the Norton WiFi Privacy Service that is required to connect to the Norton WiFi Privacy VPN, is not running or disrupted.

To fix this problem, exit all the programs and restart your computer. If the problem persists, restart the Norton WiFi Privacy Service manually.

Restart the Norton WiFi Privacy Service

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

    services.msc

  3. In the Services window, scroll down the list to find the Norton WiFi Privacy Service.

  4. Right-click the Norton WiFi Privacy Service, and click Stop.

  5. Right-click the Norton WiFi Privacy Service again, and click Start.

    Now you can start Norton WiFi Privacy and connect to the Norton WiFi Privacy VPN.
