Message: "Suspicious network activity has been detected"

This message appears when any file without a valid digital signature tries to access the Internet from your computer. A valid digital signature is an authentication method by which the authenticity of a file is validated. This alert is triggered based on the Norton Insight rating of the file. Turn off the alert for a specific file

  • In the Firewall Alert window, select Do not ask me again, and click OK.

Turn off the alert for all files

    If you want to turn off the Firewall alert for all files with invalid digital signatures, you have to modify the firewall settings. Change the firewall settings only if you are sure of the file(s) authenticity.

  1. Start Norton.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Settings window, select Firewall.

  4. On the Advanced Program Control tab, next to Low Risk Applications, move the slider to Allow.

  5. Click Apply, and click Close.
