Error: "The Application was unable to start correctly (0X80000003)" appears when you open any program after updating Norton

This error may occur after you upgrade Norton and then open some programs like Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Word. This problem is fixed in the latest updates.

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start Norton.

  2. In the main window, click Security, and then click LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

  5. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
