Norton Family system tray icon displays the status as "Setup is not complete" or "Parent action required" on Windows 10 computer

This problem can happen if Norton Family is automatically updated to the latest version and the setup is incomplete. To fix this problem, add the user account to Norton Family.

Add the user account to Norton Family

  1. In the notification area, click the Norton Family icon, and then click Edit Accounts.

  2. Type your parent email and password, and then click OK.

  3. Next to the child profile that you want to assign the domain user account to monitor to, click Edit.

  4. Click signs in as, and then select the local user accounts that your child uses.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click OK.
