End-of-Life announcement for 2.x version of Norton Mobile Security

The latest version of Norton Mobile Security, Norton Mobile Security 3.x is currently available. As a result, you will no longer be able to purchase or renew subscriptions for Norton Mobile Security 2.x as of June 30, 2015.

If you have trouble activating your current product, please contact Norton Support. If you have Norton Mobile Security 2.x, your product will continue to work and be supported until the end of its current subscription.

There are several ways you can begin using the newest version of Norton Mobile Security 3.x provided you are running Android 2.3 or later:

If you are running a device with Android OS version 2.3 or later:

    • Follow the instructions in your installed Norton Mobile Security 2.x prompting you to run the latest software update.

    • If the software update is unsuccessful, contact Norton Support to obtain a new product key for Norton Mobile Security 3.x that will let you migrate to the newest version.

If you are running a device with Android OS 2.2 or earlier:

    • Contact your device manufacturer for any available OS upgrades; then follow the steps above.

      Norton Mobile Security 3.x supports Android 2.3 and above.

If your Norton Mobile Security 2.x license has expired:

  1. Uninstall Norton Mobile Security 2.x.

    For help uninstalling Norton Mobile Security 2.x, follow the instructions in this KB article.

  2. Install the latest version of Norton Mobile Security 3.x from Google Play.

    Follow the steps available within the Norton Mobile Security 3.x app to purchase a new subscription, or try it for FREE for 30 days.
