Norton Mobile Security reports Anti-Theft Status incorrectly when I turn off Cellular Data for the app on my iOS device

Symantec is aware of a problem where the Norton Mobile Security app incorrectly displays a check mark next to "Locate your device", "Remote call", and "Remote scream" confirming that it has network connectivity, and fails to notify of any network status changes. We are currently working towards a fix for this issue.

In the meanwhile, for the Anti-Theft functionality to work as designed, turn on the cellular data for Norton Mobile Security app on your iPhone or iPad.

Turn on cellular data

  1. On the home screen of your device, tap Settings.

  2. In the Settings menu, tap Cellular.

  3. Under the Use Cellular Data for list, next to Norton Mobile, move the slider towards the On position.

When the app is allowed to use cellular data, the status indicator changes its color to green.

Thank you!
