When the Smart Firewall is turned off, your computer is not protected from Internet threats and security risks.
There may be some issues that require you to turn off Smart Firewall. In such cases, you should try to adjust individual security settings before turning off the firewall, as follows:
To resolve any file or any printer sharing issues, you can configure Network Trust under Network Settings. In the Network Trust window, you can configure the trust level of the network to which your computer is connected. Setting the network to Private or to Full Trust may solve the issue.
To resolve any issues that are related to Teredo, you can access the Advanced Program Control tab of Firewall and turn on the Apply Program Control for IPv6 NAT Traversal Traffic option.
If you must turn off the Smart Firewall, you should turn it off temporarily to ensure that it is turned on again automatically.
You can use the drop-down list that is available in this window to select how long you want to turn off Smart Firewall.
To ensure that your computer remains protected, you can turn on the Smart Firewall manually before the time that you specified concludes.
