To fix this problem, restart your computer. If the problem persists even after you restart the computer, uninstall and reinstall your Norton product. Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool to uninstall your Norton product.
Exit all the programs.
Restart the computer.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
If you have received your Norton product from your service provider, skip this step, and run the Norton Removal Tool.
Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop.
On the Windows desktop, double-click theicon.
Read the license agreement, and click.
Click, and follow the on-screen instructions.
After the computer restarts, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall your Norton product.
