Norton from Symantec

Compatibility of Norton Toolbar with Mozilla Firefox

The latest versions of Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 are compatible with Firefox 28. If you have an older version of Norton Internet Security, or Norton 360, you need to update to the latest version before you run LiveUpdate. Go to Norton Update Center to install the latest version of Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 for free. After you install the latest version, run LiveUpdate to install all the available updates.

If you have an older version of Firefox, you can download and install the current version from the Mozilla website.

If you received your Norton product from your service provider, contact your service provider to obtain the latest version.

STEP 1

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Start your Norton product.

  2. Depending on your Norton product, do one of the following:

    • For Norton Internet Security: In the main window, click LiveUpdate.

    • For Norton 360: In the main window, click Tasks, and then click Run LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK or Close.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product now has the latest protection updates."

  5. Restart the computer.

After you install all the updates for your Norton product, if you still cannot find the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 28, go to Step 2 to reenable the Norton Toolbar add-on.
