Norton Family blocks a social networking website that is allowed

This problem can occur if the 'Discussion' or 'Social Networking' categories are blocked. Configure web supervision settings in Norton Family to allow the 'Discussion' and 'Social Networking' categories to access the social networking website that you want.

Configure the web supervision settings

  1. Sign in to the Norton Family website with your email address and password.

  2. Under Children, click the child profile.

  3. On the Child's House Rules tab, if Web Supervision is grayed out, click to turn it On.

  4. Under Web Supervision, click House Rules Settings.

  5. Under Blocked Categories, deselect Discussion and Online Interaction and Social Networking categories.

  6. Type in each social networking website that you want to allow one at a time next to Allowed Websites, and then click Add.

  7. Click Save.

  8. On your child's computer, right-click the Norton Family icon in the notification area, and then click Update House Rules.
