Message: "Low Disk Space..." after you run the Clean Your Disks with Bleach Free Space option enabled in Norton Utilities 14.0


Restart your computer

  • Exit all programs, and then restart your computer.

    After restart, go to STEP 2.


Run Clean Your Disks

  1. Start Norton Utilities.

    If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

  2. Click Clean Your Disks.

  3. Click Free Space in the top toolbar.

  4. Check Bleach Free Space.

  5. Check the drives which you want to bleach, and then click Clean.

    Norton Utilities scans and cleans the files to free the disk space.

  6. Some of the applications need to be restarted to complete the cleaning operation. If you see a prompt to restart the applications, click Restart.

  7. Click Continue.

    If the problem persists, go to STEP 3.


Delete temporary files

  1. Exit all programs.

  2. Do one of the following depending on your operating system:

    • For Windows Vista, click the Start button and then click All Programs > Accessories > Run.

    • For Windows XP, click Start > Run.

  3. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:


  4. Click OK.

    The current user's Temp folder opens in Windows Explorer.

  5. Do one of the following depending upon your operating system:

    • For Windows Vista, on the Organize menu, click Select All.

    • For Windows XP, on the Edit menu, click Select All.

  6. Press Delete.

  7. If you are asked to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
