Error: "Invalid Key Code" when I renew the subscription for my Norton product for Mac

This problem was fixed in the latest version of LiveUpdate. Run LiveUpdate to install this latest version of LiveUpdate, and then renew your subscription.

STEP 1

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Before you begin, you must be in the Finder. Click the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock to be in the Finder.

  2. On the menu bar, click Go > Applications.

  3. Open the Symantec Solutions folder.

  4. Double-click LiveUpdate.

    You may also start LiveUpdate by clicking the Norton QuickMenu icon on the menu bar, and then clicking LiveUpdate > Open LiveUpdate.

  5. Click Customize this Update Session.

  6. Check only LiveUpdate and uncheck all other options.

  7. Click Update.

  8. After the updates are successfully applied, click Quit.

STEP 2

Renew your subscription

  1. Before you begin, you must be in the Finder. Click the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock to be in the Finder.

  2. On the menu bar, click Go > Applications.

  3. Open the Symantec Solutions folder.

  4. Double-click LiveUpdate.

    You may also start LiveUpdate by clicking the Norton QuickMenu icon on the menu bar, and then clicking LiveUpdate > Open LiveUpdate.

  5. Click Update Everything Now.

  6. In the Subscription Expired window, click I have a subscription key, and then click Next.

  7. Enter the key code that was emailed to you, and then click Finish Subscription.

    Your product key is a combination of alphabetic and numeric characters. It does not contain any special characters.
