Norton installation prompts you to uninstall Norton 360

Applicable for: Windows

Uninstall Norton 360

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

     

    appwiz.cpl
  3. In the list of installed programs, click Norton 360, and then click Remove or Uninstall.

  4. Click Please remove all user data.

  5. In the Subscription Period Warning window, click Next.

  6. Click Restart Now. Norton 360 is not fully uninstalled until you restart your computer.

What if this didn't work?

If you have Norton Family installed, uninstall it before you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

  1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

    Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.

  2. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key.

  3. Double-click the NRnR icon.

  4. Read the license agreement, and click Agree.

  5. Click Advanced Options.

  6. Click Remove Only.

  7. Click Remove.

  8. Click Restart Now.

    After the computer restarts, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Norton.
