Reset Norton Password Manager

You may need to reset your Password Manager in the following situations:

  • You experience a computer failure.

  • You forget your Password Manager password.

You can reset Password Manager by deleting your Password Manager vault. You must then reenter all the data that was deleted. If you delete the vault, you lose all the Password Manager data that you stored, such as your logon information, address, cards, and notes.

Reset Norton Password Manager from the browser

  1. Open your browser.

  2. Click Norton Password Manager on the top-right corner of the browser.

  3. In the Norton Password Manager sign in screen, click Sign In.

    In the Unlock your vault window, if you enter your password incorrectly three times, the Need to delete your vault option appears.

  4. Click click here next to Need to delete your vault.

    You will be redirected to the Norton account home page.

  5. On the Sign in page, type your Norton account email address and password.

  6. In the Delete Vault window, click Yes, Delete vault to delete the vault.

Reset Norton Password Manager from Norton

  1. Start Norton.

    If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton main window, double-click Internet Security, and then click Password Manager.

  3. In the Vault Closed dialog box, type the password of your Password Manager.

    If you enter your password incorrectly three times, the Need to delete your vault option appears.

  4. Click click here next to Need to delete your vault.

  5. In the Delete Vault window, click Yes, Delete My vault.

  6. In the warning dialog box, click Yes.

  7. Type your Norton account password and click Sign In.

  8. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.

  9. In the New vault creation: vault password window, in the Vault Password box, type your password, and then click Next.

  10. In the New vault creation: confirm password window, type the password again to confirm and then click Next.

  11. In the New vault creation: password Hint box, type a hint for the password and then click Next.

  12. Click Finish.
