Message: "We've encountered an error. Reference ID: 0" appears on Norton AntiTrack app

This problem can occur when the Norton AntiTrack app does not open on your computer. To fix this problem, depending on the operating system, choose one of the following:

Windows

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    taskmgr

  3. In the Task Manager window, go to the Startup tab.

  4. In the Startup tab, right-click ATTray and click Enable.

If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall Norton AntiTrack.

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton AntiTrack, and then click Uninstall or Change.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.

  5. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

  6. Reinstall Norton AntiTrack.

Mac

STEP 1

Restart Mac

  1. Exit all programs.

  2. Restart Mac.

STEP 2

Uninstall Norton AntiTrack

  1. On the desktop, right-click the Norton AntiTrack icon on your menu bar and click Quit.

  2. Click the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock to be in the Finder.

  3. In the left pane, click Applications.

  4. From the list of applications, select the Norton AntiTrack icon, and then drag and drop it to Trash.

Reinstall Norton AntiTrack
