Stop your Norton subscription from automatically renewing

Most of our services are offered as automatically renewing subscriptions to help our customers avoid lapses in their service. With an automatically renewing subscription, you have continuous access to your service without having to worry about expiration dates.

However, if you prefer to cancel your subscription renewal, use the information below to change your renewal settings on your account page. If you have already been charged and want to request a refund, please contact Member Services & Support.

Stop your subscription from automatically renewing

For Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan: If your order number starts with APXXXXXXXX or NPXXXXXXXX or if you have Norton 360 Standard Plus, follow the steps below to cancel your automatically renewing subscription. If your order number is different, visit your Norton store to manage your update settings. You will need your order number and email address when you ordered.

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. On the My Account page, next to the subscription for which you want to cancel the renewal and the renewal charges, click Cancel Subscription Renewal.

  3. Confirm your cancellation.

Here are a few things you should know if you stop your subscription from automatically renewing:

  • Your subscription will continue through the end of your already paid subscription term, after which it will end and not automatically renew.

  • It typically takes a few hours from your request for the change to take effect.

  • Any benefits associated with automatically renewing subscriptions may end when you stop your subscription from automatically renewing.
