Use Ad Tracker Blocking in your VPN product to block targeted advertisements

Each mobile device has a unique advertising ID which may be used to track your details like name, address, and age. Advertising IDs may be used by app developers to create targeted advertisements that are relevant to you. The Tracker Blocking feature in your VPN product helps block advertisers' tracking technologies to reduce many targeted advertisements.

A small number of websites require Ad Tracker Blocking to be disabled to work properly. If you trust these websites, you can block Ad Tracker Blocking. 

To use Ad Tracker Blocking, depending on your device, choose one of the following:

Windows

Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

Norton VPN

  1. Open Norton VPN on your desktop.

  2. On the Norton dashboard, click Settings on the left-side of the screen.

    In the Settings window, under VPN Preferences, move the slider to enable Tracker Blocker.

Norton 360

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

  2. In the Norton dashboard, click Privacy on the left-side of the screen.

  3. Under the Secure VPN tile, click Open.

  4. In the Secure VPN window, click the Ad Tracking Blocking tab.

  5. In the Ad Tracker Blocking tab move the slider to enable Tracker Blocker.

Mac

Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

Norton VPN

  1. Open Norton VPN on your desktop.

  2. On the Norton dashboard, click Settings on the left-side of the screen.

    In the Settings window, under VPN Preferences, move the slider to enable Tracker Blocker.

Norton 360

  1. Open Norton device security on your desktop.

  2. In the Norton dashboard, click Privacy on the left-side of the window.

  3. Under the Secure VPN tile, click Open.

  4. In the Secure VPN window, click the Tracker Blocking tab.

  5. In the Tracker Blocking tab, move the slider to enable Tracker Blocker.

Android

Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

Norton VPN

This applies to Norton VPN Standard, Norton VPN Plus and Norton VPN Ultimate users.
  1. Launch Norton VPN.

  2. Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. In the VPN Configuration screen, tap Ad Tracker Blocking.

  4. In the Ad Tracker Blocking screen. move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.

Norton 360

  1. Launch Norton 360.

  2. At the bottom of the main screen, tap Menu and then tap VPN.

  3. In the VPN screen, tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

  4. In the VPN screen, tap Ad Tracker Blocking. In the screen that appears, move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.

iOS

Depending on your product, choose one of the following:

Norton VPN

This applies to Norton VPN Standard, Norton VPN Plus and Norton VPN Ultimate users.
  1. Launch Norton VPN.

  2. Tap the Settings icon on the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. In the VPN Configuration screen, tap Ad Tracker Blocking.

  4. In the Ad Tracker Blocking screen. move the slider to enable Block Ad Trackers.

Norton 360

  1. Launch Norton 360.

  2. Tap the Privacy section and tap the right arrow next to VPN.

  3. Under the Ad Tracker Blocking section, slide Block Ad Trackers to enable Ad Trackers.
