Applicable for: Windows
Norton automatically configures your email program for protection against viruses and other security threats. You can configure Email Protection to scan all incoming and outgoing emails. By scanning incoming email messages, you protect your computer against the viruses that others send to you. By scanning outgoing email messages, you do not inadvertently transmit viruses or worms to others. This way, Norton helps protect your computer against the threats you might receive or send in email attachments.
Email protection monitors the communications ports used for email and intercepting email transmissions. After scanning incoming email messages, they are passed along to the email program.
You can define how Norton should behave when it scans email messages. Based on the options you choose, Norton automatically scans the email messages that you send or receive.

Scan outbound emails (SMTP)

Add signature to the end of sent emails
