Set up Norton VPN to use P2P file sharing

Norton VPN allows you to connect to a region to use P2P sharing conveniently. To use P2P file sharing, depending on your operating system, choose one of the following:

Windows and Mac

To know the version number of your Norton application, open your Norton app and navigate to Settings.
If you are using Norton VPN Standard (version 6.x and below) on Windows or Norton 360 (version 8.8.x and below) on Mac, you need to download and install the latest version of Norton VPN. To know more, read Download and install Norton VPN.

Norton VPN (version 24.x and above)

  1. Open Norton VPN on your desktop.

  2. On the Norton dashboard, do one of the following, depending on your VPN plan:

    • Norton VPN Standard: Click Connection > Change Location. In the Change VPN Location screen, under Advanced Servers, click P2P-Optimized Region.

    • Norton VPN Plus/Ultimate: In the Change VPN Location screen, Advanced Servers, click P2P-Optimized Region.

Android and iOS

  1. Launch Norton VPN.

  2. On the Norton VPN screen, tap the drop-down list at the bottom of the screen.

  3. On the Change VPN location screen, under Advanced Servers, tap P2P-Optimized Region.
