The Privacy Monitor Assistant feature provides an agent-assisted process to opt out your personal data from data broker sites that have made your data available publicly. Removing your personal data from these data broker sites can help you regain some online privacy.
You can raise an opt-out request once every three months. You can run a new scan and review your Privacy Monitor results to find if there is anything new to opt-out of.
Sign in to your account.
Visit the Privacy Monitor tab to run a new scan and review your personal information that are exposed and found on data broker sites.
Under Your Results, see the list of websites that have your exposed personal information.
Under Privacy Monitor Assistant, click Submit Request.
Follow the instructions on the next few screens to complete the request.
If you want to opt out on your own from a data broker site, do the following:
Click View details under the website that has your exposed information.
Scroll down the page and click Yes under Do you want to opt out on your own with Privacy Monitor? and follow the on-screen instructions.
Before following the below steps, make sure that you enrolled to the Privacy Monitor feature and purchased Privacy Monitor Assistant using your Norton 360 mobile app. For more information, read Set up and activate Privacy Monitor Assistant in Norton 360 mobile app.
This feature is available only in the U.S.
From the home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.
Tap Privacy.
Under Privacy Monitor Assistant, tap Submit request, and then tap I Agree.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the request.
