Set up VPN in Norton 360 app to help secure your browsing on Wi-Fi connections on your mobile device

When you use a compromised wireless network, cybercriminals may steal the data and critical information you're sending and receiving. You can set up the Secure VPN feature in the Norton 360 app to automatically scan and alert you if you are connected to a compromised wireless network.

This feature is available only for users subscribed to Norton 360 for Mobile or Norton 360 plans that include Secure VPN. This feature is not available in all countries.

Norton Secure VPN/Secure VPN is no longer available for use within India as a result of governmental regulations requiring the logging and saving of user data, but you can still use your product/subscription when traveling outside of India.

Before following the steps, make sure that you have set up the Wi-Fi Security feature using your Norton 360 app. For more information, read Set up and respond to Wi-Fi Security Alerts in Norton 360 app on your mobile device

I have an Android device

Set up VPN

  1. From the home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.

  2. Tap Privacy.

  3. In the Privacy screen, you can configure the VPN settings.

I have an iOS device

Set up VPN

  1. From the Home screen, launch the Norton 360 app.

  2. Tap Privacy.

  3. Tap Set Up Now and then tap Allow to add VPN configurations.

  4. If prompted, enter your device passcode, and then ensure that the Auto-Connect VPN option is turned on.

    You still receive the Wi-Fi Security Alerts even after you disable the Auto-Connect VPN configuration on your device.
