This problem is fixed with our latest update. Run LiveUpdate to get the latest updates.
These steps are for the current version of Norton. If you have an older version or if you do not know your product version, go to Norton Update Center.
Run LiveUpdate

Start Norton.
If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click .

In the main window, double-click
, and then click . -
When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click
. -
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

Exit all programs, and restart the computer.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.

To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the
+ key. -
Double-click the
icon. -
Read the license agreement, and click
. -
Click
.You may see the
button if Norton is from your service provider. -
Click
or . -
Click
.After the computer restarts, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Norton.
If you have Norton Family installed, uninstall it before you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.
