Setting up Norton backup fails due to insufficient storage

Norton provides 25 GB of cloud storage for each Norton key. Your product needs to be activated to use the Cloud Backup feature. The first time you configure cloud backup, you must sign in to your account. The Set Up Unsuccessful window appears, if your attempt to activate the cloud storage is unsuccessful.

Before you activate cloud storage:

  • Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.

  • Check if the product is already registered to a different Norton account. If yes, click Retry and sign in using the Norton account to which the product is registered.

  • Check the amount of available cloud storage space. If you need more storage space, you can buy additional storage space.

You can share the cloud storage space that is allocated to you using your Norton account among your computers. For example, you have two computers having the Norton product installed on it and registered with the same account. You can share the storage space among your two computers. You use 10 GB of cloud storage space for your first computer. When you activate the cloud storage for your second computer using the same account, that computer can use the remaining 15 GB of space.

The cloud storage space varies based on the different subscription plans.
