FAQ: LifeLock Add a Member plan

What is LifeLock Add a Member?

LifeLock Add a Member is an add-on that lets you get essential LifeLock protection from your existing account to another adult or senior in your family, like a partner, adult child, or aging parent, without them needing their own standalone subscription.

Who is LifeLock Add a Member designed for?

It’s built for existing LifeLock members who want to protect a family member’s finances and identity, especially adults or seniors who may be more vulnerable to scams, payment fraud, or identity theft.

What protection does the added member get?

They get dark web and financial account monitoring on up to two accounts, access to 24/7 support and restoration help if identity theft occurs, and scam support plus up to $5K in scam reimbursement coverage*, along with identity theft coverage under the Million Dollar Protection Package (up to $25K in stolen funds reimbursement, $25K in personal expense compensation, and $1M for lawyers and experts).**

Who pays for the Add a Member plan and manages it?

You do. The plan runs under your LifeLock account and billing, so you handle setup and payment while your family member receives protection and support without managing a separate subscription.

Does my family member need to share sensitive information at checkout?

No. At purchase, you provide basic details like their name, email, and ZIP code. More sensitive information, such as SSN or DOB, is only collected later if it’s needed for claims or deeper verification.

Does adding a member change my existing LifeLock plan?

No. Your own Core, Advanced, or Total plan stays the same. LifeLock Add a Member is an extra subscription attached to your account specifically for that additional adult or senior.

What happens if my family member is a victim of identity theft or a scam?

If they’re impacted, LifeLock connects them with U.S.-based restoration specialists who work their case end-to-end, and their plan can reimburse covered losses based on the available identity theft and scam reimbursement limits, helping reduce the financial impact while guiding them through recovery.

Disclaimers:

*Scam protection coverage as part of identity theft benefits is currently available to all customers residing in the United States, including U.S. territories and the District of Columbia, with the exception of residents of New York. Gen Digital is not a licensed insurance producer. Benefits under the Master Policy are issued and covered by HSB Specialty Company. You can find further details and exclusions in the summary of benefits at LifeLock.com/legal.

**Up to $1 million for coverage for Lawyers and Experts included on all plans, plus reimbursement and expense compensation up to $25,000 each. Insurance benefits are issued by third parties. See LifeLock.com/legal for policy info.
