Unable to receive Norton device security notifications on Mac

Applicable for: Mac

After you install and launch Norton on macOS 10.15.x or later, you may see an alert to choose whether you want to receive the notifications from Norton.

If you have not allowed the access to Norton notifications when the alert was shown, Norton alerts are not displayed. To fix this problem, configure System Preferences to allow Norton notifications.

Configure System Preferences

  1. Click the System Preferences icon in the Dock to launch System Preferences.
  2. In the System Preferences window, double-click the Notifications icon.

  3. In the left pane, from the list of applications, select Norton.

  4. In the right pane, move the slider to Allow Notifications from Norton.

You may choose the alert style and the type of notifications that you want to be notified.

  5. Exit the Notifications and System Preferences window.
