Activate your Norton device security app subscription
Introduction and prerequisites
You must activate your subscription before the end of the trial or subscription period to continue using all Norton features and protect your computer.
If you purchased the Norton device security app from a retail store, you need to create a Norton account or add the purchased Norton app to your existing account. For detailed steps, read Download your Norton device security app purchased from a retail store.
Important:

Your computer must be connected to the internet to complete the activation process.

If you see a message that says “No License Available”, it is likely that the subscription in your account has expired or you have signed into an account without a valid subscription.
Scope
This article describes how to activate your Norton subscription across various platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
When this applies
This applies if you need to activate your Norton subscription before the trial or subscription period ends to continue using its features and protection. This also applies if you purchased the Norton device security app from a retail store and need to add it to your account for activation.
When this does NOT apply
This does NOT apply if you are activating a Norton Utilities app, which has a separate activation process. To activate your Norton Utilities app, read Activate Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate.
Step-by-step instructions
Windows and Mac

Open your Norton device security app.

At the top-right of the main window, click the profile icon.

Choose one of the following methods to activate your Norton device security app subscription:

If you have purchased Norton from Norton.com, then click Sign In and type in your email address and password that was used during the purchase. If you do not have a Norton account, click Create an account, and complete the sign-up process.

If you have purchased from the retail store or from a third-party website, then click Serial Number, enter your 25-character product key, and click Next.

If you do not have an existing subscription, click Get Subscription and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

Android

Open the Norton 360 application on your mobile device.

Choose one of the following methods to activate your Norton device security app subscription:

If you have purchased Norton from Norton.com or if you want to activate your existing subscription, then tap Sign In and type in your email address and password that was used during the purchase. If you do not have a Norton account, click Create an account, and complete the sign-up process.

If you do not have an existing subscription, tap Get started, choose your plan, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

If you have purchased from the retail store or from a third-party website, then tap Already purchased > Enter a product key, and enter your 25-character product key, and click Next.

Open the Norton 360 application on your mobile device.

Choose one of the following methods to activate your Norton device security app subscription:

If you have purchased Norton from Norton.com or if you want to activate your existing subscription, then tap Redeem an existing subscription > Sign In and type in your email address and password that was used during the purchase. If you do not have a Norton account, click Create an account, and complete the sign-up process.

If you do not have an existing subscription, tap Get started, choose your plan, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

If you have purchased from the retail store or from a third-party website, then tap Redeem an existing subscription > Activate with a product key and enter your 25-character product key and click Next.
