End-of-Life announcement for Norton AntiVirus 11 and Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac
As of October 31, 2014, Norton AntiVirus 11 and Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac have been discontinued. The support for these products ended on November 12, 2015 and no new security updates are released afterwards.
Although, you may continue using your Norton product for the remaining subscription days, your computer would be unprotected against the new threats. We recommend you to upgrade your Mac OS X to the latest available version and install Norton Security.

As of October 31, 2014, all the subscription renewals to Norton AntiVirus 11 and Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac have been stopped.
Support for Norton AntiVirus 11 and Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac ended on November 12, 2015, except for the Japan region where the support is discontinued on December 25, 2015.

If your Mac runs on OS X 10.7.5 or later, you will be offered an opportunity to upgrade to Norton Security for a 90-day free trial. To know more about Norton Security, read Features of Norton Security.
If you choose not to upgrade to Norton Security for a 90-day free trial, your Norton AntiVirus 11 or Norton Internet Security 4 for Mac subscription continues to work for your remaining subscription period.

Alternatively, if your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements, you can upgrade to the latest version of the Mac OS X and then install Norton Security or Norton Internet Security depending on the availability of the product in your region.

Yes, if your Mac meets the minimum hardware requirements, you will receive a notification from your Norton product that you must accept if you choose to upgrade and install the Norton Security 90-day trial. To complete the installation of Norton Security, you may need to restart your Mac.

Before the Norton Security 90-day trial expires, you can purchase a subscription of new Norton 360 from the Norton Online Store. Upon expiration of the Norton Security 90-day trial, your computer will no longer be protected against viruses, spyware, malware, and other online attacks.
