You may face issues in activating Norton VPN on your Smart TV device under the following scenarios:
1. Your Smart TV device has not met the minimum operating system requirements
To activate Norton VPN on your Smart TV device, it should meet the following minimum operating system requirements:
Android TV 10 or later.
Apple tvOS 17 or later.
Amazon Fire TV devices running Fire OS 8 or later.
To find the operating system of your Smart TV device, please follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings on your Smart TV.
Do one of the following:
On your Android TV, go to the Settings page, click System, then click About.
On your Apple TV, go to the Settings page, click General, then click About.
On your Amazon Fire TV, select My Fire TV or Device and Software (name depends on your Fire OS version), then click About.
In the screen that appears, you should find the Android, Apple, or Amazon Fire TV OS version.
2. Your Norton subscription in a single device plan
To use Norton VPN on your Smart TV, you need to have a multi-device subscription. If you already have a multi-device subscription, ensure that at least one device slot is available.
To manage or remove your existing device, please follow the instructions below.
Sign in to your account.
If you have obtained your product from a service provider, use the partner login link and partner challenge code, or the 4-digit partner unit ID you received in your welcome mail.
In the top-right corner of the page, hover over My Account and click My Subscriptions.
Find the Norton plan you want to manage.
Under that plan, click Manage Devices (this link only appears if at least one device is using that plan).
In the pop-up window, choose the device that you no longer use, and click the trash icon.
Click Remove to confirm.
After you manage the device/seat, activate the Norton VPN on your Smart TV.
