Updating your credit card information (Japan)

This article includes instructions only for customers in Japan. For instructions applicable to all other regions, refer to the following article: Update your credit card information.

You can update your credit card information by signing in to your Norton account.

When your subscription is due for renewal, and the credit card information in your account is outdated, we will notify you to update your payment details. You can also update this information by clicking on the notification.

If you see a message, "We are not able to process changes to your credit card information", there may be issues due to regulations implemented by regulatory bodies. In such cases, to renew a subscription, please proceed to norton.com/renewal.

To update your billing information, refer to the instructions in the relevant section below, depending on the start of your order number.

Update orders starting with AP, NP, or Norton 360 Standard Plus

Follow the steps below to update your billing information:

  1. Sign in to your Norton account.
    • To update an existing card: Click the Edit icon next to your card and update the required details. 
    • To add a new card: Enter the required information for the new card. 
  2. Click Save.

You will see an "Update successful" confirmation message, and a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.

Update order starting with SY

Follow the steps below to update your billing information:

  1. Find your original order number in the purchase confirmation email sent when you made your first purchase. 
  2. Find the email address you used when you placed your order. 
  3. Go to the following webpage: Confirm Order Information Page.
  4. Input your information and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Troubleshoot issues updating your details

  • For the orders starting with SY: ensure the order number you type in is the original order number you received when you made your first purchase, not your latest order number.
  • Check if the card details you entered are correct. 
  • Try a different browser to enter your card details.
  • Try a different credit or debit card.
  • If you see the message "Invalid Credit Card number for specified card", clear the Card Number field and re-enter the card number to save your changes.
