Install your Norton app from your service provider
Introduction and prerequisites
This article guides you through the process of installing your Norton app obtained from a service provider. Norton apps from service providers may support installation on multiple computers, with options to purchase additional licenses or transfer existing ones.
To begin, you will need access to your Service Provider website or the email sent to you when you subscribed to Norton. If you do not have a Norton account yet, you must first go to your Service Provider website to download the Norton app and create an account.
Step-by-step instructions
Download and install your Norton app using Service Provider website

Sign in to your Service Provider website and navigate to the page where you originally downloaded and installed your Norton app.

Download and install your Norton app on the new computer.

In the main screen, click Activate or Sign Up Now.
In most instances, your Norton app will auto-activate. The onboarding experience varies depending on your service provider.

Click Next.

If you see a prompt in the My Service PIN field, type in the PIN number that is provided to you by your Service Provider. Please note that for most current activation flows, the PIN activation will be automatic, and you won't be prompted to manually enter the PIN.

If you see a prompt, enter a computer name.

Click Activate. If you have a license available, the app is activated.
Download and install your Norton app from your Norton account

Log in to your service provider website or locate the email that you were sent when you subscribed to Norton.

Sign in to your account.
If you do not have a Norton account, then you will need to go to your Service Provider website to download the Norton app and create a Norton account.

Click Agree & Download to install a Norton app on the same device. To install it on a different device, click Send a download link and enter an email address.
In most instances, the app will auto-activate after you click on Agree & Download. In some cases, you will be prompted to enter a PIN. This happens when you are registering your Norton app for the first time. Click I have a PIN, and enter the PIN provided by your service provider and click >.

Click Save or Save File.

Do one of the following depending on your browser:

For Windows: Press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.

For Mac: Press Command + Option + L, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
