Learn more about the alternatives for Contact Backup and Anti-Theft features for Norton Mobile Security for iOS users

The new Norton Mobile Security for iOS 1.x app that replaces the Norton Mobile Security for iOS 3.x app, does not include the Contacts Backup and Anti-Theft features. With the End of Life announcement of Norton Mobile Security for iOS 3.x, these features are no longer available on My Norton portal as well.

If you use these features to backup your contacts and to find your lost iPhone® or iPad®, you can consider the following alternatives:

Contacts Backup

Your contacts that are backed up from iOS device will no longer be available after May 31st, 2019 on My Norton portal. To back up and restore your contacts, you could use the iCloud feature on your iOS device.

For more information on using the 'iCloud' feature to back up your contacts, read this Apple Support article.

If you have previously backed up your iPhone® contacts using Norton Mobile Security, you can restore it to an AndroidTM device. Your contacts backed up from an Android device will still be available after May 31st, 2019 on My Norton portal. For more information, read Restore your contacts using Norton Mobile Security.

Anti-Theft

As an alternative solution to Anti-Theft features of Norton Mobile Security for iOS, you could use 'Find My iPhone' feature of iOS. In the event of loss of your iPhone or iPad, this feature helps you locate your device on map. You can also remotely lock or erase the device.

For more information on using the 'Find my iPhone' feature, read this Apple Support article.
