Norton Family blocks access to a website from the allowed category
This problem can happen if the blocked website is available under more than one category. If a website is available under more than one category, you need to allow all the categories for that website.
If you do not want to allow all the categories for the website , then you can add that particular website to the allowed list.
Configure the web supervision settings
-
Sign in to your account.
-
Click the child profile that you want to configure the web supervision settings for.
-
On the Child's tab, if Web Supervision is grayed out, click to turn it On.
-
On the Web tile, click the Gear icon.
-
Under Restriction Level, choose the required level of supervision.
-
Under Supervision Level, choose what you want Norton Family to do when your child does not follow the house rule.
-
Type the website address next to Allowed Websites, and then click +.
You cannot add website address in Allowed Websites if the Supervision Level is set to Monitor.
-
Click Save.
-
On your child's computer, right-click the Norton Family icon in the notification area, and then click Update House Rules.
