Dark Web Monitoring

Dark Web Monitoring is a service that scans hard-to-find dark websites and forums for personal information. It is important because identity thieves can buy or sell your personal information to commit illicit activities.
When we detect your information on the dark web, we notify you to take the necessary actions. To review the alert or notification you received, go to your account dashboard or mobile app. To verify if the alert that you received is from Norton, refer to the following article: Verify that an email you receive from Norton is legitimate.

You may receive alerts or notifications that are either Attributed, which means the site of the breach is known, or Unattributed, meaning that the exposed data belongs to a site that no longer exists, is unknown or is not mapped to any site.

Refer to the sections below to see the information that is monitored for your Norton service, and the ways to secure your data if your data is breached.
