It provides you a secure search environment by displaying the Norton ratings next to every search result.
The Norton Identity Safe web portal lets you conveniently access your Identity Safe cloud vault from any browser capable device, not just those with Norton Security installed. For example, if you're using a computer at an Internet café or hotel business center, you can still have access to your website logins, credit card details, and notes.

If your device has Norton Internet Security 2012 installed, then each user of that device can create their own Norton account and cloud vault. To access a vault, you must know both the Norton account and the vault passwords.
A vault is a secure online location where you can store all of your sensitive information such as logins, credit card details, and addresses. Norton Identity Safe lets you securely access this sensitive data from any location around the world.
The vault is encrypted and password protected so only you can get to it.
Norton recommends that you need to have different passwords for your Norton account and Identity Safe. Passwords help you protect your data from unauthorized access. Separate passwords provide additional layer of security to your data and prevent unauthorized access.
If you no longer require your vault data, you can delete it. When you delete your vault, all of your sensitive information that you stored is permanently deleted. If you have a Norton security product, you have to use the Reset Vault option. In Norton Identity Safe client, you can use Click Here link next to Need to delete your Vault in the Vault Closed window to delete a vault.
You can change your cloud vault password using Norton security products such as Norton Security, Norton Security with Backup, Norton Internet Security, or Norton 360. To change your vault password using a Norton security product, see Changing the Identity Safe password.
You can add, edit, or delete your Identity Safe logins and notes. While you can conveniently access your credit cards data on-the-go, the portal does not currently provide the means to add or edit the contents of your cards. You can modify your cloud vault's entire data using Norton Identity Safe client, Norton Security, Norton Security with Backup, Norton Internet Security, or Norton 360.
As communications between your device (such as PC or cell phone) and Symantec's servers are strongly encrypted using industry standards such as SSL/HTTPS, you generally need only consider the security of the device from which you're accessing your vault data. We recommend that you only access your vault data from a device that you trust to be secure.
If you forget your Norton account password, go to https://manage.norton.com/ website for the details on how to retrieve or reset your password. If you forget your vault password, you can use your password hint to recollect. We don't store your password and all your data is encrypted using your password. Your vault data can ONLY be retrieved by using the password you encrypted it with.
