Email Protection protects you from the threats that are sent or received in email attachments. By scanning incoming email messages, you protect your computer against the viruses that others email to you. By scanning outgoing email messages, you do not inadvertently transmit viruses or worms to others. Norton protects your computer against any threats that you might receive or send in email attachments.
When you turn off Email Protection, Norton automatically turns off Email Antivirus Scan and Norton AntiSpam.
However, you can temporarily turn off this feature and specify the amount of time for which you want it to be turned off. When the time that you specify concludes, the feature automatically restarts. You can override your setting at any time, and turn on the feature in the Settings window.
